Our Airplane

The Scottsdale Flying Club leadership is committed to providing the best available aircraft to our members. That means maintaining it in top condition to provide reliability, ensure the safety of our members, and to protect the investment we put in our airplanes. Our maintenance officer helps ensure our aircraft are among the best maintained in the Phoenix area. If you find an anomaly or squawk, you can log it in FlightCircle.com, our scheduling app., or you can tell us and we'll get it fixed.

Our airplane rental rate is based on hobbs time, wet, which includes fuel and oil, and is currently $150 per hour, and will go to $175 per hour starting January 1, 2024.

The club leadership periodically reviews these rates and if necessary, will make adjustments based on current fuel and maintenance costs. The rental rate has never increased until now, due to inflation pressure from fuel costs.

Fuel purchased while away from our home airport is reimbursed to the member up to the published self-serve rate at Deer Valley Airport (KDVT) as of the first day of each month.
